Jim Palmos

Jim has practised exclusively in personal injury law since 1994 when he started his legal career in the Latrobe Valley.  Jim is very much a personal injury law “all rounder” and has expertise across all areas of personal injury law, particularly WorkCover claims, TAC claims and Public Liability claims.  This places Jim at a distinct advantage to many other practitioners who specialise in only one field of personal injury law because very often there is an overlap between WorkCover law, TAC law and Public Liability law. This expert knowledge allows Jim to map out a litigation strategy for his clients to suit their individual case circumstances.
Jim prides himself on regular communication with his clients.

He is highly organized and efficient. Jim enjoys an excellent rapport with his clients. This rapport is a source of immense satisfaction for Jim because the overwhelming majority of his practice is due to referrals from previous and current clients. In addition, Jim is regularly referred clients by barristers, which is a testament to the confidence they have in Jim’s ability to conduct personal injury cases.

Jim is an accredited specialist in personal injury law, as accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria. Jim also sits on the Accident Compensation Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria which meets every 6 to 8 weeks to discuss current and emerging issues in the ever changing sphere of WorkCover.

Jim completed his law degree at the University of Melbourne in 1993 graduating with Honours. He also holds a commerce degree from the University of Melbourne with a major in accounting. Jim completed his VCE in 1988 at Melbourne High School. Jim is married with two sons, both in primary school. Jim loves all sports and is a passionate member of the Hawthorn Football Club.
